CLEVELAND – April 27, 2017 – Anderson International Corp, along with 8 other corporate donors, recently gifted equipment to The Ohio State University College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences (CFAES).

Anderson International, which designs, manufactures, and commissions oil, polymer, and feed processing equipment globally, donated an Expander-Extruder-Cooker™ to assist in providing hands-on training and applied research opportunities for Ohio’s upcoming food industry professionals and entrepreneurs.

The Expander-Extruder-Cooker™ is the backbone of processing systems for producing all manners of digestible products such as snack foods, breakfast cereals, pet food and animal feed.

The Anderson machinery is part of a state-of-the-art system located in the pilot plant at the Wilbur A. Gould Food Industries Center in the Ohio State Department of Food Science and Technology. The Food Industries Center was built to conduct applied research on a wider variety of food products, with an emphasis on foods for health, which aligns with the focus of the Department of Food Science and Technology, the college, and university.
