What’s inside the eBook
This troubleshooting guide will cover the most common problems a Solvex operator might encounter, along with simple tips for addressing these setbacks. But first, let’s review how the Solvex Expander works and why its operation is so beneficial for efficient solvent extraction.
During solvent extraction, soybean material is washed with hot solvent, typically hexane, to separate the fats from the solids. The combination of oil and solvent, known as the miscella, and the remaining solid material combined with the solvent, known as the marc, must undergo further processing to remove the hexane.
To optimize the potential benefits of the Solvex Expander, operators must be able to identify and address problems quickly to get the machine back to peak performance as soon as possible — achieving maximum oil recovery (and maximum profits) faster.
With over a century of experience designing, manufacturing, and installing processing systems that handle dozens of different oilseeds in over 100 countries around the world, the experts at Anderson know every secret to efficient oil extraction.
